Linda Lee Sewing Retreat
Linda Carswell and myself had a wonderful time in Kansas at The Project Sewing Workshop class. We fitted and sewed for 3 full days. The fabric and buttons were absolutely stunning (I probably spent to much).
Linda Carswell left with her T-shirt finished, her pants fitted in a muslin, and her jacket cut out. I left with two pants fitted in muslin and two tops fitted in muslin ( I didn't want to cut my beautiful silk till I made sure it fit!). We came back with wonderful ideas for upcoming classes, besure to check the January - February Needle Works Newsletter. Linda Lee and her assistants (Cathy ( Linda Lee's Sewing Workshop pattern Co.), Sandy ( Louise Cutting) and Katherine Gross (Bernina)) couldn't had been any more helpful. Bev who cut our fabrics was absolutely exhausted when we left but she never once complained, she was a trooper. We had dinner at Linda Lee's home on Saturday night, and she showed us some of the upcoming kits. Everything was GREAT!!!!
More Pictures coming later today or tomorrow.

Current Events at The Smocking Shoppe
For those you that didn't know. Susie had an accident a couple of weeks ago. She is back to work but still has a problem with her knee, so if she is moving a little slow have mercy on her.
Please try to come by either shop and help with our blankets for The Home of the Innocents. You can check the website or call the shop for dates.
Susie has been in a cleaning mood again! She has cleared out about 400 smocking plates- select imperial broadcloths and other fabrics- and much more!!! Stop by The Smocking Shoppe in St. Matthews and check out all the specials.
Remember to stop by or call either shop to fill out your wishlist for the holidays. We will be glad to put the items you would like in the computer and when that someone special comes by we'll know exactly where to direct them. Remember we do offer gift wrapping services.
Don't forget The Ultimate Embroidery Seminar on Nov 11 & 12. Should be lots of FUN!!!!
